2 down 10 to go

Two months in the books and I am right on track. On pace for 51,000 pushups. This thing is truly a grind. I need to get back into the habit of doing a few sets right when I wake up in the morning. Today was an absolutely gorgeous day. I went to mountain to work on the house and Tasha and her parents brought the kids and dogs up to play. It was close to 60 degrees at the mountain and the snow was super slushy but great to play in. I bought Urijah some skis off craiglist yesterday. He doesn't understand it yet and want to walk with the skis on. That lasted maybe 5 minutes before we got bored and wanted to just run and fall down in the snow. I stayed on worked on the house for a couple more hours after they left and am going back tomorrow because I have a contractor coming out to look at the duct work. Now that the weather has turned it's time for me to pick up the pace and get this house in shape.

Hanging in

Thursday I did a few sets of pushups during the day and then had a soccer game at night. We got moved up to a higher division this season and are probably going to get worked most games. We lost 2-0 but at least we had a few subs this game and the weather was nice. Friday I was pretty sore from the game and only did two short sets of pushups. We went out for Renee's birthday. It was good to see a bunch of folks that we haven't seen for a while. Von Trapp's is a pretty happening spot. It is huge so it will be interesting to see how long they can stay packed for.

This morning I helped setup for the neighborhood easter egg hunt and then took Cosmo for a run. I was still pretty sore from soccer and took it easy. I saw the dr. Thursday and he suggesting giving my orthotics another shot to see if they help my shins. It's 8:30pm and I haven't done any pushups yet so I'm going to do them right now... 300 - 10 on the minute and then when I hit 25 minutes I did 25 for the next two sets.

Ellipticals == bored

42 minutes on an elliptical feels like an eternity. I did 23 pullups before starting and a set of 25 pushups before and after. Nothing flashy about yesterday just needed to rest my chest and do a little cardio. Soccer tonight!

Rise and shine

I managed to drag myself out of bed when my alarm went off at 5:45 so I could take the van pool in for work. Need to get used to it because I lose my free parking spot in June. I don't know how people do it everyday. But I guess it is a lot easier when it is something you have to do. Since it isn't a big deal for me to roll in at 10 I don't have a lot of incentive to get up early.

Totalled 240 pushups for the day 6am 50, at the gym I did 4x25x10 with a mile on the elliptical in the middle. When I finished all that I did 3 sets of chest press on a machine and then cable flys. Another 55 pushups at 2:30 and 35 at 7pm to wrap the day.

When I got home from work Tasha wasn't back from doing errands so I changed real quick and took Cosmo for a 2.38 mile run. First time we've averaged under 7:00 miles for the year. Now if I and do that for 6 times as long I'll feel good.

Slacking?

Just because I'm not writing doesn't mean I'm not working out. Saturday I went down to the track and ran 5x400 with 4 minutes rest. It was cold, we're talking sub 40 degrees. And I think that the track is actually a wind tunnel because I've never run on it when it didn't feel windy. The times are on my watch. I'll add them later (edit 1:15, 1:19, 1:18, 1:23, 1:18). I was sore from the gym on Friday and skipped pushups. We spent the rest of the day doing family time. There is a sick park in Redmond called Grass Lawn Park that we went to. It has the coolest ropes for kids to climb. It's a little scary letting a 2 1/2 year up climb up 15 feet of rope and only being able to hold him with one hand. Here are random pictures from online of the park.

Sunday I went snowboarding with Tasha and then convinced her to help on at the house for a whole hour. In that time she managed to cut the tape measure in half. I told her she'll have to do much more damage than that for me to not drag her back.

Monday I spread pushups throughout the day 260 total; 8am 50, 11:30am 50, 3pm 50, 5:30pm 35 (Urijah on back), 9pm (50,25)

I feel like 50 is my limit right now. Funny since I have done sets of so many more. Today is gym day.

Back in the gym

Made it to the gym for the first time this week. I've been lazy about going into the office and that means I can't jet out during lunch for the gym. I did 50/15 then elliptical for 2 miles followed by 50/10. After that I lifted a bit some curls and kettle bells.

I did 30 pushups with Urijah on my back at my parents house and then did another 45 before writing this up. I think we are going to be pretty busy this weekend but I'm hoping to make it down to the track for some repeats. So long as my legs agree with the idea, this aching a bit today.

March Badness

Talk about some bad basketball. 2 games that were 50 point blowouts. A 3 seed and two 5s losing. Regardless of the outcomes it was the perfect day to work from home. I should have done some pushup workout associated with the games but was actually doing work because I have a small project that needs to get done in the next two weeks. I spread out 5x50 throughout the day; 1pm,4pm,6pm,8pm,10pm.

My entire body is aching after soccer and running Wednesday night. Hoping to hit the gym at lunch and watch some bball there.

Don't drink and run

I caught up with Jamie after work for a beer. He moved around a mile away from us but I hadn't seen him yet. Strange enough we ended up meeting 15 miles from my house. We chatted for a bit and then I headed out for swim lessons. I made it to the pool a half hour early so I changed clothes real fast and went for a run. It was cold and windy out but at least there was still some sun out. The trail was marked 2.1 miles but I measured using an online pedometer since I didn't have my watch. The website came out to 1.8 miles. Pretty big discrepancy not sure how it can be so off. In addition to my blisters I now have a cut on my big toe where the skin is pressing up against the nail that is growing in.

We hung around after swim lessons and let Dawson 'swim' for a while too. Urijah thought it was pretty cool that we got to swim with his brother. Urijah is loving the pool, he is obsessed with going under water. No clue where he gets it from.

Soccer Season

Weekdays are super busy right now. Monday and Wednesday Urijah has swim lessons and I have soccer on Tuesdays. I did 2x50 Monday morning and then a set of 85 at work with the pushup group. I didn't know until talking to Brandon today that he doesn't rest mid set. I'm going to try and move to that direction then. With the occasional one second pause between reps. Tonight at soccer we played with on 10 men. I hadn't played since October so having to go the full 90 minutes was taxing. I now have 3 blisters for my trouble. When I got home I did 2x50 with minimal rest during the set. Unfortunately soccer doesn't count for running totals. I think at this rate my goal will be to simply hit the numbers and not race to get to them. The main goal has already been accomplished because I am working out pretty consistently right now.

Busy Weekend

Saturday morning I went down to the high school's track and ran 8 200's. I'm going to try and do one hard running workout a week and if I can keep up I'll just steal them from Brandon's training. I was aiming for 2 minutes rest between each but messed the watch up between repeats 5 and 6 so that rest period was off. Warmed up for 3/4 mile and then attempted to run fast - 33,33,34,34,36,34,36,36. Soccer starts this week so hopefully I'll regain some quickness from that.

Saturday night I went to the Sounders game with the family. Working for a big company has some good perks, we had the Deloitte suite and more importantly a parking pass. Going any where with kids is rough. Having to pay through the nose to park or walk a mile with two kids is like choosing which testicle to get kicked in.

Sunday I headed to the mountain to work on the house. Before I let I check the conditions and decided to ride for a little while when I got to the pass. My legs were tired from running yesterday so only took 5 quick runs and then headed to the house to work. I'm getting close to the point of working on the plumbing and electrical and need to figure out a few issues with that before I can finish some of the remaining framing on the first floor. So today I ripped out what was left of the entry room and utility closets that was in the way. Cut a few boards of insulation and measure/planned the rest of that. I didn't do a whole lot today but needed to get back home to watch the kids.

Main water supply. Is only a few inches from the concrete wall need to decide how to frame around it and still cover the foam because of fire codes.

Entry way used to have giant shelves under the window

Total hack job on the previous circuit panel to the upper right of the water heater. That foam board has a hole drilled through for the water heater expansion drain

Used to be a closet containing the circuit panel and water heater. Still deciding exactly the layout I want there.

To the right of the door is room for a washer and dryer. The original space was about 9 inches too shallow so we moved the wall back to allow them to completely fit. Now if we want to can add doors to hide them.

As if that wasn't enough for the day I decided I needed to get back on track for the workout goals. I took the dog out and ran 4.17 miles. We took it fairly easy and were right around 8 minute miles. After I cooled down from that I did 140 pushups 7x20 on the minute. Now I'm going to roll around in bed writhing in pain.

Premature

Maybe proclaiming to be back on track was a little premature. Its amazing how good working out can feel but at the same time how nice it feels to not do anything for a few days. After that really big Tuesday I needed some rest. Thursday I went for a quick run with the dog in some real nasty rain. 9pm steady rain 2 miles was more than enough. Yesterday I did some pushups in 3 sessions AM (40,40), PM 75, PM 45. Never in my life have I done 75 straight. Pushups are so easy to slightly adjust your arm position and angle to either make your life hell or skate by.

Clickity Clack...

back on track. Sticking to my word again lots of pushups. I did four sessions of 125 (32,31,31,31). 6am, 12pm, 6pm, 12am. It is now 1am and I'll regret being up this late tomorrow. In addition to the pushups I did 3 miles on the elliptical and a set of 20 pull ups before leaving the gym.

In more exciting news we went to see Chris Cagle in concert tonight. He is no question my #2 favorite country singer and not far behind Phil. The opening act was Randy Houser who I know nothing about since I barely listen to music anymore. He had a few songs I recognized and was decent for an opening act. Interest fact to learn was that he wrote Honky Tonk Badonkadonk for Trace Atkins. The inspiration...sitting at a bar watching a group of girls line dance on of which he described as 'putting 10 lbs of flower in a 5 lb sack'. I've seen lots of country singers and I think this was my 4th time seeing him. Pretty sure first was sitting 3rd row at the Puyallup Fair during college, next was when I lived in San Jose and he played at a small bar. I went to the bar on my own since I didn't know anyone outside of work down there. He talked about getting started in the business and the grind that it was. He came off as the most appreciative singer I have ever seen. He got choked up a few times telling stories about his Dad convincing him to pursue his dream. Third I think was at the Enumclaw Fair, with Tasha and possibly Brandon. Not sure how it happened but I think at some point he was thanking military groups for their service and he had someone from the audience throw a phone up to him on stage to thank the person on the line for their service. We are talking 10 years ago, its fuzzy but talk about an impression. Tonight was cool because he played a number of songs I'd never heard in person. It was only he and 2 guitar players so he didn't rock out like if he had the full band but it was still great. He got choked up a number of times, right before the first one I was telling Tasha about him crying in SJ. He improvised the lyrics to What a Beautiful Day

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5qQfGv6p-I

from 'And gave me a son On day seven sixty-one' to 'she rocked my world with three beautiful girls'. And immediately followed it up by having to take a break from getting too emotional. I've always loved that song but being married with kids now that shits just hits home. The encore he played a song from his second cd that someone from the crowd suggested. Its one that he must never play in concert (he talked about taking a break from music for a few years) and you could see a couple times where he had to think about the lyrics. He would stop and improvise and chat through songs and the last verse he basically stopped. I picked up the slack and was yelling the line with probably the only other 2 people who knew that song. Bottom line the guy rocks. Oh yeah a couple people in the audience gave him military id bracelets for soldiers who were killed in duty. And he cried, and so should have everyone else.

Rest

A man of my word I did absolutely nothing on Sunday. Today I skipped pushups again and the only 'running' I did was a few sets of stairs while waiting for Urijah's swim lessons. I think it was around 33 flights of stairs total. Tomorrow pushups and lots of them.

Full day

I can't believe I'm still awake after everything I did today. I got up early and headed to the mountain to snowboard with a guy from work. We rode for around 3 hours and my legs were wiped by the time we finished up. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of people rocking shirts without jackets today. After that I went to the house to work for a few hours. There was snow starting to pile up all the way to the top roofline so I hiked to the top and shoveled for at least a good 45 minutes. Then I actually did real work on the house and framed up some walls and doorways.

After all that I know I'm going to be really sore tomorrow so I wanted to do a few pushups because I might throw a goose egg up tomorrow. I did 100 (34,33,33) and 50 (25,25) spread out in the evening.

TGIF

I started out and did 100 pushups in the morning but thats all I managed to muster for the day. After running I passed out on the couch really early.

I set my watch to go run on the track but I'm not much better operating it than Brandon. There was too much rest between laps but I didn't think I could adjust it after the first one. So I have plenty of rest between. I haven't tried to run fast since October and could feel my legs not having much pop. I did a mile of warmup/cool down.

Tired

I've been pretty tired this week. Between getting back on an early wakeup schedule to working out I have been wiped out at night. Riding in a vanpool isn't any fun but its nice to not be the one stressing the traffic. I've been sitting back and writing code. Who knows maybe this workout app will be the first hobby project I actually complete. Here is a link to the current build.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B83_btPfjtimakFLbTUyc3RKbWc/edit?usp=sharing

Its not pretty looking but it can already deal the deck and add up your time and display it when you finish. I'm working on mapping suits to exercises and letting you do it with more than one person. It originally was a 2 person game where you alternate cards so I want to have that feature in there.

At the gym today 2x15 pull ups, 40 easy minutes on the elliptical, 2x10 pull ups.

Another day another high

I must actually be committed to this working out thing. Not only did I walk to the gym in the rain during lunch but I actually gave them money this time. I prepaid for 6 months to get them to cut the initiation fee in half. Unfortunately I killed a half box of Thin Mints before going to the gym. At the gym I did 2x15 pull ups then a half hour on the elliptical then one more set of pull ups before running outside to catch my ride to grab a bite at Dot's Deli in Fremont. At the office I got sucked into doing pushups with the group of people at work. I did a set of 65 then 35 after a little rest. My guess is I'm close to not being invited back.

I worked on the Workout app during the drive home and have it now dealing and printing out cards along with starting and stopping the time. Next step is to work on mapping suits to exercises and card values to an exercise count. I'm not sure how I want to display the selection screen right now so that is slowing me down a bit.

Since I already started doing pushups today I decided to do more at night and give my chest and triceps a break tomorrow. I did sets of 45,35,25HR at 7pm and 9pm. The HR is hand release and is apparently all the rage with in CrossFit. I like adding in the variety and can tell they force you to really engage and disengage your muscles. I'm sure I'll never sack out the money to pay for crossfit but think the idea is great. It really reminds me of Illahee. I doubt you can find a cooler junior high workout program than what we had.

Reality

First full day back to the office and I was bored out of my mind. I'm in between projects which means slow days filled with random tasks until the next big project starts up. The one bright side to being in between projects is that I should have plenty of time to workout at lunch. I failed today, I brought clothes but didn't get to the gym.

I started taking a vanpool into the office a few weeks back and that could be the thing to get me to work on the android version of rip deck. So far I have a timer going and started working on creating the deck of cards and drawing the next card when the button is pressed. I'll have to look at coming up with a way to host the apk files and post it each step along the way.

After the day off from pushups yesterday I was hoping to feel rested. I started with 100 (40,35,25) in the morning but could still feel my triceps fatigued. I wanted to do another 100 before dinner but forgot and did 4x25 after eating. I finished the night with sets of 60 (new high), 40, 40.

Pushups are funny because I feel like I can do way more after a couple warmup sets throughout the day.

Home sweet home

We survived the flight home. It started to get iffy towards the end as Dawson would deucing through this diapers and onto his clothes at a staggering pace. Vacations are great but it always feels good to get home. Whether it is a 3 night bender in Vegas or in this case a week of work and relaxing you've gotta love home. Cosmo's reaction to our return is always the same. It starts with 30 seconds of being happy to see us. Followed by 30 minutes of 'where the hell have you been no eye contact'. I made up for it tonight by taking her running. We went down to the trail along the river by our house did our usual route there. The time off appeared to help as we finished around the fastest time from last summer. If Brandon's kryptonite is drinking mine is the most unhealthy diet on the planet. I wonder how fast I would have run if I didn't gorge myself the last two weeks. My upper body could use a rest so no pushups tonight.

Powering through

Anytime I do pushups before going to bed I can feel it during the night and when I wake up in the morning. Today we went to the Denver Aquarium. The highlights were definitely the otters and the tiger. One of the otters was putting on a show where he would dive down under the water and come up against the glass and kick off the window with his feet and do a backflip. And the tiger, well shit tigers are just awesome. We were hoping he would get in the water but he was too busy waiting for lunch.

I was pretty tire from carrying Urijah around there and over to a park after we left the aquarium. On the walk back to Jess' house we passed a pull up bar. I was able to do a set of 20 which is the most in a set since I started working out again.

In the early evening I did 200 (50,25,15w/Urijah on my back,10,25,25,25,25). Jess did 75 with me, one set of 50 and then another 25. Gymnasts are crazy. Then did another 100 (40,30,30) before calling it a night.

Looking forward to going for a run tomorrow night when we get back to Seattle.

Strong start - No finish

I started yesterday off great. 200 pushups before noon 40, 35, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25. Unfortunately that was all I ended up doing. We went to Boulder for the afternoon and hung out with Aaron, Brooke, and another FW home and his wife. It was great hanging out at their place. But once we left the house it was one food after another straight to the gut. By the time we got back to Jess and Matt's place we sat down watched part of the Sounder game and I passed the eff out.

Month 2

4 weeks down and I'm ahead of pace. I'm hoping to be able to step it up the next few weeks. This is the most I've traveled in a long time. Being away from home for 2 weeks off and on has made it hard to have a routine. The running and pull ups have really struggled but I've kept up ok on the pushups. Yesterday did 40,40,20 in the AM and 40,40 in the PM. We are staying with Jessica and Matt for the weekend and will be busy hanging out so I'll continue to skate by.

Backfill

50k pushups and 500 miles in 12 months....

Its been one month of working out and I'm committed enough that I feel like I should blog it on my own instead of Brandon's comments so I can more easily see older posts. Here are all the february workouts

Feb 1,2
Ok I'm jumping on board. Nothing should be a bigger motivation for working out than seeing how you've changed yourself. Funny how the last few years we have switched places physically. Hopefully there is room for both of us on the good side. I'll shoot for your number but we'll see how much running I do versus elliptical because of my injuries. I'm going to break the mileage up and track them separate. My 12 months start Feb 1st. I'm going to try and add a comment every day you write a post. Hopefully more of them are filled with results instead of excuses. Considering my push up limit is about 25 a set right now I have my work really cut out for me.

Pushups - 125 / 125
Pull ups - 0 / 0 - I did 10 on Jan 31st :)
Running - 3 / 3
Elliptical - 2/ 2
Run total - 5 / 5

I thought doing pushups every time someone scored during the superbowl would be a good way to make the workout more fun. That was before the defenses decided to suck. I quit on the Raven's FG before the Kaepernick TD. I couldn't even do 25 in a row by the end. I worked on the snoqualmie house for 5 1/2 hours before the game started and was tired enough from that. Tomorrow I am going to hurt but that is what the elliptical is for.

I've been working out for about a week now and am hoping that the constant soreness will subside soon. If it weren't for these updates I would easily be taking days off. At first I thought counting the elliptical was a total shortcut. While I still feel it is borderline cheating I think it is negated by the fact that you can't do a 7 minute mile on an elliptical. I put that thing through hell today and was around 9:45 pace. So easy on the body means added time for the same mileage.

Today I did 30 pushups in the morning. Then at the gym started with 13 pull ups, 25 pushups, 10 pull ups, 25 pushups, Elliptical, 12 pull ups, 25 pushups, 10 pull up, 25 pushups, 5 minutes on a bike, 5 pull ups, 20 pushups.

Once I feel comfortable with my numbers I'll be able to start doing some normal lifting routines. Until then I have to not did myself a giant hole to get out of.

Today's lunch was all strength. I'm hoping to get a run tonight with the dog. She looks all sorts of lonely. Hitting weights is going to make pushup number really tough to come by. But if I join a gym by work I can feast on pushups on the weekends.

10 pull, 25 push, 10 pull, 25 push, lifted some chest and triceps then came the rough finish. 10 pull, 25 push, 9 and 3/4 pull, and 25 push ups that had to be down 5 at a time.

I tell you what, anyone that says running has nothing to do with arms should go lift weights during the day and do for a run that night. Between my upper body barking and trying to kick a cold I was struggling. I manage to lumber around the neighborhood for a hair under 3 3/4. Threw in an extra 25 pushups to round my number off and now I am pooped. I think Cosmo will be the 3rd winner in this get fit scheme. She gets so excited to go for a run and its nice to do that for her since we never get her to dock dogs anymore.

And on the 7th day he shall rest...his upper body.

Went to a new gym today for another trial membership. Little smaller than the other gym, I tried 2 of their elliptical machines. Each of which says I was going around 12 minute mile pace. So the punishment for using ellipticals would be rather stiff there. 3 miles in 36 minutes is like giving a mile away for free. They did have one of the revolving stair machines which are my absolute favorites. 5 minutes on that at the end of my workout and I was ready to die. One week down 51 to go.

Decided to take a day off from cardio and give the legs a break. Hit a high of 300 pushups for the day. Did 2x25 in the morning before work. Lunch at the gym did 2 sets up pullups and pushups on each end of lifting weights. Finished off the night by doing 6 sets of 25 while watching some tv.

This morning I stretch out the push ups and did 2x35. We went for a family run in the late afternoon. I thought pushing the stroller was bad before but holy moly the double stroller is serious business. Having arms feeling like jello before starting didn't make life any easier. I did 1.63 with everyone and then Cosmo and I ran 2 extra on our own. Weekends will be pull up free unless I decide to reassemble my stand that is stored in the garage.

I spent the entire day working on the house again so my only 'workout' was some pushups after getting home. 40 before I jumped in the shower, then 30, and another 30 during dinner. just over a week and I can feel the form allowing me to do more

Went to the gym at lunch and started with 10/25x3. Then 3 miles on the elliptical followed by a grueling 5 minutes on the stair treadmill. I think a side goal in this project might be for me to break that machines motor. I like to get on there and increase the level every 30 seconds. I think I was at level 16 out of 20 for the last 30 seconds. Finished the gym with another 10/25.

There is a group of people who do pushups at work once a day. I've been wanted to wait until I was in really good shape and just embarrass the shit out of them. But I got sucked in today and was able to do 1 set of 50 straight. It was probably the most of anyone there but not the annihilation I was going for.

Then tonight just did 50, 25, 25, 40, 35, 25

Really didn't feel like doing push ups but can't see your giant numbers and not do them. Blah blah random sets through out the afternoon and did a final set of 50 after my run. It is funny that a set of 25 isn't easy to me but I can still make it to fifty if I pause mid-set.

I felt great running. I have a hard time going out on longer slower runs/jogs but I think my legs were tired from yesterday and it made it easier for me to do that. It didn't feel hard and I felt like I was coasting for most of it. Just under 8 minute miles which is pretty slow but the ease I did it with after only running a handful of times this year felt great.

I looked at my garmin log and I didn't do 5 miles until June last year (unless I did it without the gps watch but I doubt it) so year to year I am looking good considering I shut it all down in september for 4 months

Took a day of cardio and thought I'd see how miserable doing your pyramid would be. I decided up front to do 30sec of bike between sets and bumped it up 30sec after every 3 sets. I did this with less rest than the usual beginning of my work out though.

5/10, 6/20, 7/25, 8/20, 9/20, 10/20, 8/20, 8/20, 7/10, 7/25 - Total 75/200

I did a little more lifting after words and I feeling exhausted tonight. I did 40 more pushups and was going to stop at 240 pushups until I started to comment and wanted to make it an even 2k. So I had to do 35 more.

I was tossing and turning last night trying to sleep from feeling so sore. But today I felt better than I expected.

Went to the gym at lunch but only did cardio. 3 miles on the elliptical in a scorching 35 minutes (WTF). Then finished with 7 minutes on the stair climber.

5 sets of 30 spread out through the day. And jumped on the elliptical we have at the house for a half hour while everyone else was napping. It will be interesting to see how the elliptical cardio translates into helping for running.

Getting ready to head out to Denver for work. Might try to meet up with Swass and some other friends who live out there so I don't know how much working out I'll get done

Flew into Denver this morning and could feel the altitude when I stepped off the plane. It's funny because when I came here a few years ago around the same time of year I didn't even notice during my trip.

Drank a few beers at dinner but managed to search out the fitness center of the hotel and did 5 sets of 10/25

7 pounds in a weekend is pretty amazing. I'm glad I'm not weighing myself because I have been eating like crazy since I left home. I wasn't going to do anything today but decided to hit a few pushups. I did 10 on the minute for 25 minutes. I remember one time in college I did 20 on the minute for an hour. Maybe at the end of the year...

Traveling killed me. Wednesday I was gone from 8am until midnight and did absolutely nothing but eat and drink. Thursday I thought ahead and did 50 pushups in the morning but then was out and about until my flight that didn't land until 11pm. Need to get back on track this weekend

One set of 60 pushups in the afternoon and a run at night. Started out with the dog but hit .4 miles and she did something to her foot. So I had to walk her home and then went back out on my own. I hadn't run in about a week but my shin was bothering me some. Then I cleaned up dog vomit at 3am, because I think she ate a chicken bone after dinner. Joy

Body is exhausted. Last night I bought 40 2x4's 20 2x6's for the cabin and loaded up 90 sqft of stone veneer from my garage to sell to a guy on craigslist. Today I drove to Seattle met craigslist dude. Loaded the stone into his car. Drove to cabin. Unloaded lumber. Shoveled a shit ton of snow. Loaded up a truck full of debris wood drove it to the recycling place and unloaded the truck. We need a category for that because I was beat when I was finished. I took the dog for a jog and was hurting. 2.18 miles. Heading back to Denver tomorrow and just hoping to keep my head above water with these numbers until my life gets back to normal.

First of all screw RipDeck for not having an Android version. Maybe I'll make one in all the free time I have. I'm guessing I could whip something together in a weekend.

Feb 26
Today was long, we woke up at 4am to head out for the airport. This was our first flight since having Dawson and for such a little guy he complicates travel quite a bit. We have a large suitcase, rollerbag, sports bag, backpack, diaper bag, two kids suitcases, two car seats. Carry that shit through an airport and try to not be wiped out. Urijah was SOOO good. I couldn't image having a kid that doesn't behave. He walked through the entire airport rolling his little suitcase and was so excited to get on the plane.

I was able to squeeze in some pushups before bed. 9 sets that added up to 200. First 5 sets of 20 on the minute and then took a break and did a few more sets to total 200

Altitude training put a hurting on me. There is a pretty nice fitness center at the hotel we are staying at. I don't know why ellipticals can't give a realistic speed. I clocked in at 7:00 miles but know I wasn't going that fast, but it beats the ones saying 11 minute pace. On top of that, the elliptical had solitaire on it.

I did some pull ups and pushups afterwards. Not sure if it was from being tired from yesterday or the altitude but it was rough.

Its probably a lot more normal for you to work in pushups during lunch than it would be for me to drop in the middle of the office and go to town. I guess I could always flex nuts to shut them up.

AM set of 40 and 20
PM sets of 40, 40, 30, 30, 30, 30, 20, 20

I feel sore and fatigued but was able to put in a pretty good bedtime sesh after some pizza and beers.

Shortest month of the year down and for starting from scratch I feel pretty good. I'm going to go back through the comments and put everything into one list to see the progression
